Explore the importance of video in today’s digital marketing strategy. As a small, intimate workshop, each attendee will receive customized advice tailored to their business needs. The day begins with an overview of essential videography principles required for producing high-quality content, including how to adjust settings for optimal video performance. A presentation will cover affordable gear options to simplify the content creation process. The day concludes with an overview of legal considerations every business owner must understand before publishing video content.
The field day portion of the workshop provided participants with hands-on experience in shooting video content in real-world settings. Attendees practiced framing shots, adjusting lighting, and capturing clear audio using their phones and budget-friendly gear like stabilizers and external microphones. The session emphasized quick thinking and adaptability, teaching participants how to work efficiently in dynamic environments. By the end of the day, participants had the opportunity to film their own short projects, applying techniques learned in class to create engaging, high-quality footage ready for editing.
Day 3: Editing Techniques
The focus shifts entirely to the editing process. Even the best video needs effective editing to be impactful. Participants will learn about free video editing tools and how to use them for various purposes. Each participant will receive one-on-one guidance during the editing session, ensuring the experience meets their specific needs. If participants prefer editing on a desktop, they should bring a laptop; tablets are recommended as a backup. However, the only essential equipment is a cell phone.
